W1 applied probability, Uni Mannheim
The Institute for Mathematics at the University of Mannheim has an opening for a non-tenure track assistant professorship (W1) on applied probability.
All applicants with research fields connecting probability, statistics, and machine learning are welcome. Topics might for instance be reinforcement learning, MCMC methods, stochastic optimisation, Bayesian statistics, non-parametric statistics, or statistical learning theory, but also all other topics that are relevant for the mathematical foundations of data science.
