Three year PostDoc position at TU Berlin
The research groups of Benjamin Gess and Gabriele Steidl invite
applications for a PostDoc position within the DFG-funded project
“Numerically Efficient Learning of Generative Models and Beyond” at
TU Berlin. The successful candidate will conduct research in areas
including the mathematics of machine learning, diffusion and other
generative models, and optimization.

Our offer
- Full-time postdoctoral position (TV-L E13, 100%)
- Flexible starting date from September 1, 2026
- Fixed-term appointment for up to three years
- No teaching duties
Candidate profile
Applicants should have a strong background in one or more of the following areas:
- Mathematics of machine learning
- Generative and diffusion models
- Optimization
- Scientific programming, particularly in Python
