Postdoctoral positions at University of Potsdam
Two postdoctoral positions are available in Sebastian Reich's group in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Potsdam, Germany.
The topic of the positions is scientific machine learning and data assimilation. Of particular interest are data-driven modelling via interacting particle systems and random feature maps, dynamical systems and optimal control, Bayesian inference and data assimilation. Both university-funded positions are closely aligned with the DFG-funded collaborative research centres SFB 1114 Scaling Cascades (www.mi.fu-berlin.de/en/sfb1114/index.html) and SFB 1294 Data Assimilation (www.sfb1294.de).
Candidates should have a PhD degree and have worked in applied and computational mathematics, with a solid background in machine learning
and/or scientific computing. Candidates should have an interest in science and engineering applications. The positions are available with a flexible start date. The initial appointment will be for two year, with the possibility of extensions for another two years. The positions come with a moderate teaching load.
