Postdoctoral position at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen

The Institute for Mathematical Stochastics and the Felix-Bernstein-Institute for Mathematical Statistics in the Biosciences at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Göttingen invites applications for a

3 years postdoctoral position (all genders welcome)

This position should be filled by March 01, 2020 or after. The regular working hours will be currently 39,8 hours per week (full-time) with a limited contract of 3 years. Salary: Pay grade 13 TV-L.

We are looking for excellent and highly motivated applicants with a strong and well-rounded background in statistical, mathematical and computational methodology and a broad knowledge of modern methods of data analysis. A Master degree and a PhD in Mathematics or a related area is required. We offer to work in an interdisciplinary and international team of researchers. Among others, our research is concerned with the development of statistical methodology at the cutting edge of optimization and in collaboration with lab scientists, see e.g. the cluster of excellence “Multiscale Bioimaging” or the research training group “Discovering Structure in Complex Data”
