Postdoctoral Fellow in Mathematics, University of Otago, New Zealand

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Otago, New Zealand, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Mathematics (full-time, 3 years) within the project „Boundary conditions for non-local operators“, funded by the Marsden Fund, administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand (PI: Boris Baeumer (Otago), Mihály Kovács (Chalmers); AI: Mark Meershaert (Michigan State)).

The successful candidate will be based in Dunedin, New Zealand, and will provide support under the supervision of Associate Professor Boris Baeumer, working to show how the type of modification at the boundary of certain infinitely divisible Markov processes is equivalent to imposing a certain type of boundary condition on the generator of the process.
