PostDoc Position in Mathematical Statistics, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf
At the Institute of Mathematics in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf a post as a
scientific employee (postdoc, 100 %, pay grade 13 TV-L)
is to be occupied at the earliest possible date after 01.01.2020. The employment will first be limited up to 30.06.2021, but may possibly be extended by an additional year. The open position is part of a DFG-funded project on "Statistical modeling of capital market dependence structures via copulas" within SFB 823 “Statistical Modeling of Nonlinear Dynamic Processes”, see
• A completed scientific university education (M.Sc. or Diploma) and a PhD in the field of mathematics or statistics
• Profound knowledge of stochastics and mathematical statistics
• Interest in developing and investigating statistical methods for copula modeling
• Desirable: good programming skills, for instance in R or Python
