Postdoctoral position in Applied Biostatistics

You will join an internationally recognized biostatistics group that for decades has successfully undertaken research projects in the areas of clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical trials, research synthesis and medical data science. The group is linked to Cochrane Germany, the Institute of Evidence in Medicine and the Institute of Genetic Epi- demiology at the Faculty of Medicine and University Medical Center Freiburg.

Your tasks:
as a postdoctoral researcher, you will be working in the develop- ment of new statistical methods in evidence synthesis and meta- analysis
particular areas of current interest are network meta-analysis, meta-analysis of diagnostic accuracy studies and meta-analysis of individual patient data
Methods are applied to synthesis of clinical and epidemiological trials as well as routine data or molecular data
a future aim is their integration with machine learning techniques

Your profile:
a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics or practical experience with the statistical aspects of meta-analysis and evidence synthesis is required
business fluency in both spoken and written English and strong interest in interdisciplinary research are necessary experience in programming with R or Stata is highly desirable
