Post-Doc position announcement
There is currently a further Post-Doc position opening in my group at the University of Basel in Switzerland that I would like to advertise. Please forward this message to anyone you think may be interested and to any relevant mailing lists of your department, or contact me about potential candidates directly.
The starting date is 1 April 2022 (there is a bit of flexibility). The duration is two years (at least) and the position comes with a competitive salary and a modest teaching load.
The position is funded by a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation for the investigation of high dimensional statistical physics problems, specifically involving the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick and related models, with a focus on the development of a mathematically rigorous Thouless-Anderson-Palmer (TAP) approach for the computation of free energies, critical point complexities and for the study of the Gibbs measure.
Any interested candidates are invited to contact me by e-mail with a CV.
