PhD studentship in Lund in probability
There is an open fully-funded 5-year PhD studentship in probability theory in Lund University (Sweden) with Professor Stanislav Volkov, deadline 15 June 2021,
(Note: speaking Swedish is not necessary for this position.)
The main topic of the research will be analysis of discrete-time stochastic processes and interacting particle systems, with a focus on history-dependent random processes and models related to random geometry. The analysis of such models uses a broad spectrum of probability theory, including e. g. results from martingale theory, random graphs theory, and percolation. The project also aims to contribute to the study of social network dynamics.
