PhD position in statistics on non-Euclidean data structures, UCLouvain (Belgium)
The Institute of Statistics at UCLouvain (Belgium) is still looking to fill the PhD position in “Statistics for nonparametric curve estimation on
non-Euclidean geometries". During four years of a tax-free grant the candidate will work with Prof. Rainer von Sachs at the intersection of mathematical and computational statistics.
Interested candidates with a background on
- (kernel or wavelet) estimation for multivariate data
- (theoretical or computational) statistics on Riemannian manifolds
are referred to read, for a more detailed project description, the following advertisement:
Please note that one requirement of UCLouvain to obtain the grant is to have a relatively strong Master’s degree (“sehr gut” bis “gut") obtained before September 8.
The deadline for application is September 1, 2022, but it would be advisable for interested candidates to get in contact with firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand.
