PhD position in image processing / spatial stochastics
The RTG 2088 at the University of Göttingen invites applications for a PhD position at the interface of image processing and spatial stochastics starting their work on 1 February 2022 (or later).
The Research Training Group 2088 is a joint graduate school of the applied mathematics and stochastics departments at the University of Göttingen. We offer a structured study program with special lectures and seminars, an annual retreat, and regular meetings and social events. The PhD project is related to the sparse representation of image and geographical data based on Wasserstein distances. It is jointly supervised by Profs Gerlind Plonka-Hoch and Dominic Schuhmacher.
