PhD and Postdoc positions at the University of Amsterdam

The Research Centre for Longevity Risk at the University of Amsterdam is inviting applications for two PhD positions and two postdocs.

We are looking for candidates who are willing to apply their knowledge of statistics, economics/econometrics, demography, actuarial science, and related fields to the study of trends, models and consequences of longevity. Successful candidates will be part of a team of UvA researchers at the centre who study developments in survival rates and life expectancy, how these developments are influenced by a variety of factors, and how an increasing life span affects the economy and wider society. This includes the development of mathematical models for demographic trends and medical developments, as well as models for the impact of local socio-economic conditions and the quality of our living environment on how long people live. .
