Open position at LMU Munich

We, the data integration centre at the LMU and LMU University Hospital, are looking for a statistician / data scientist.

The data integration centre is a newly founded interdisciplinary team as part of DIFUTURE project (funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). One of our aims is to make data from clinical practice available for research. Together with our partners in Tübingen, Augsburg and Munich we work on several medical research projects (use-cases). The analysis group of the data integration centre is responsible for statistical analyses and development of statistical methods.

Your responsibilities:
- Planning, conduct and communication of statistical analyses
- Learn about state of the art statistical or machine learning methods
- Potential development of new statistical or machine learning methods
- Collaboration and communication with the team and the partners

What we expect from you:
- Ability to communicate with collaborators from different fields including medicine and informatics
- A university degree in statistics, biostatistics, data science or a comparable field
- Experience in applied data analysis, statistics and/or machine learning
- Experience with R
- Willingness to learn
- Experience in medical informatics or in collaborating with clinicians is a plus
