Faculty position in Financial Engineering Reykjavik University
The Department of Engineering at Reykjavik University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Financial Engineering. The position can range from Assistant Professor to Full Professor, depending on the qualifications of the applicant and on formal assessment.
Research in finance and related fields.
Teaching courses such as corporate finance, fixed income and interest rate modelling, financial derivatives, valuation, portfolio management and digital finance at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Supervision of students at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels.
Participation in the administration of the Department of Engineering as appropriate, including development of study lines and course offerings.
A PhD in Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Finance or a related field.
Relevant research experience documented by peer-reviewed publications in international academic journals.
Teaching experience at the university level and ambition for excellence in teaching.
Excellent English proficiency is a precondition.
Good interpersonal skills, initiative and ability to work independently.
Relocation assistance is available. Reykjavik University is a bi-lingual university where courses at the graduate level and a number of courses at the bachelor level are taught in English.
