Biostatistician 60 - 80%

Your tasks:
· Ensure sound statistical planning, data preparation, analysis, reporting, and publication of SAKK registry projects as well as clinical trials, with main focus on registry studies
· Support the further development and implementation of the SAKK registry concept
· Provide input, discuss and develop new study proposals with investigators
· Review relevant documents (e.g. trial proposals, statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, etc.)
· Work with Clinical Data Managers and Statistical Programmers to ensure high data quality
· Provide statistical support and advice to other biostatisticians within the Statistics team and to physicians in the SAKK network
· Keep up to date with developments in statistics and oncology through literature review, conference attendance, etc.
· Initiate and perform methodological research in medical statistics when appropriate

About you:

· PhD or Master’s Degree / Diploma in statistics, data science or a related field with at least 2 years of experience as statistician working with registry studies or similar data projects
· Experience in clinical trials, in oncology and/or working as a statistical consultant would be an asset
· Knowledge in data modelling and survival analysis; some familiarity with machine learning methods would be an asset
· Familiar with statistical software packages such as SAS and R
· Strong problem solving skills and ability to work both independently and in interdisciplinary teams
· Very good project management skills, ability to work efficiently in several parallel projects
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
· Ability to communicate in German
