The Institute for Mathematical Stochastics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Göttingen invites applications for

2 Ph.D. positions (all genders welcome)
in Mathematical Statistics

These positions should be filled by October 01, 2020. The regular working hours will be currently 29,85 hours per week (75% of full-time) with a limited contract of 3 years. Salary: Pay grade 13 TV-L.

We are looking for excellent and highly motivated applicants with a strong and well-rounded background in statistical, mathematical and computational methodology and a broad knowledge of modern methods of data analysis. A Master degree or a related qualification is required. We offer to work in an interdisciplinary and international team of researchers. Among others, our research is concerned with the development of statistical methodology at the cutting edge in collaboration with lab scientists within the cluster of excellence “Multiscale Bioimaging”
